Brittnie (Bree) Anderson, PSS

Position/Program:  Restwell Peer Support

Pronouns: she/her

Pets: My two kitties, Mister Beans aka Beanies aka Beanie-weinies aka Beansie-boo. And Miss Teenie Tiny, aka Teenie-weinie, Teenie T, or TinyTinyTiny.

3 favorite things:
1) My 4 boys are my number one (even though they can drive me nuts, at the end of the day, they are my favorite humans ever of all times.)
2) Comfort. I'm all about comfort. Blankets, pillows, food, family, friends, familiar places, pajammies. Anything and everything that has to do with being comfortable.
3) Joy. Laughing. Smiling. Jokes that make you blow water out your nose. That feeling of laughing till you can't breath... The expression on peoples faces when they feel joy...  All of that.  That's my favorite.

Something I like to do outside of work: Mostly my personal time is with my kids, but if I have some time to myself and I'm just chillin at home you'll find me snuggled up finding something mindbending to watch, listening to a true-crime podcast or practicing my newly found love for 'nothing fancy' yoga, which is basically me just rolling around on the floor.
But if the weather is matching my mood, I also love to be outside. Feel the sun on my skin and the grass under my feet. Hiking, biking, exploring, rock-hounding. Toes in the sand...

Something interesting about me: I'm a beach baby. Born and raised on the Oregon coast. I'm a pokemon extrordinar. Also, I have a birthmark the shape of a broken heart on my right arm.

Why I do what I do: I was born with caring in my soul. I've been through so much in this lifetime, and I've gained a ton of wisdom, compassion, and desire to help people that need a hand up or a hand to hold through the dark times. I believe kindness, understanding, and humor are the key ingredients to connection. And I am so honored to be a part of walking beside my fellow human, on the journey to find the path they have been dreaming of.
